Virgin Australia will resume services to and from Port Vila on Sunday, 22 December 2024. The first flight will arrive in Brisbane at approximately 7:55pm AEST.
Following advice from the governments of Australia and Vanuatu, these flights will be supporting Australians returning home from Port Vila and foreign nationals and emergency services travelling to Vanuatu from Brisbane.
Guests currently in Vanuatu will be automatically rebooked onto the earliest available Virgin Australia service.
Information for guests with upcoming bookings to Vanuatu
We are offering enhanced flexibility for guests travelling on Virgin Australia’s Port Vila services until 5 January who wish to rebook or cancel their planned travel. These guests should contact the Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre on 13 67 89 (+61 7 3295 2296 for those outside of Australia) or their Travel Agent for further information. Please note, operating hours for the Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre are 3:00am to 11:00pm AEST.

Australian citizens or permanent residents in Vanuatu can register with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's crisis registration portal.
