Nestled in the small locale of Diddillibah and just a stone’s throw away from the glorious beaches of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Rivershore Resort is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
Rivershore has quickly established itself as a leader in the field of glamorous camping, or ‘glamping’, winning a silver award in the New Tourism Business category at the 2017 Queensland Tourism Awards after only its first year in business.
Out on ‘safari'
For those of us not fully convinced on the merits of pitching tents and shared amenities, Rivershore has you covered with their luxuriously appointed safari tents. There are 13 King Safari Tents available for booking; each tent has a king-sized poster bed (with the ability to add up to two camper beds), ceiling fan, handy kitchenette with full-size fridge and beautifully appointed private bathroom, complete with a claw bathtub and thoughtful amenities. Each tent also has a television and access to Netflix included. For bigger families, two Family Safari Tents are available (shown below), with bedding configurations offered to suit your needs. Your private deck comes full equipped with an easy-use Webber BBQ, outdoor dining table and comfortable deck chairs. The tents are well positioned on the banks of the Maroochy River to capture cool river breezes and are serviced daily by Rivershore's friendly staff.
Resort facilities
Rivershore has a large swimming pool with a lap lane, water slides and blow up tubes to thrill the kids, plus a smaller paddling pool for littlest family members. Adults can relax in the surrounding beach chairs or book a large cabana at reception. Put your putting skills to the test on the mini-golf course, or let kids run off some excess steam at the poolside playground. There’s also the ‘kanga jumper’, an enormous bouncing cushion for kids and adults alike to enjoy. Visitors seeking a little more exertion can also hire bikes, paddlers, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. Drift Bar and Restaurant is located on site and offers up quality dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner; you can dine in the restaurant's alfresco setting overlooking the pool or have your meals delivered directly to your tent.
For the true campers
Rivershore offers a large caravan and camping park with outstanding facilities, including some of the largest powered and unpowered sites in Australia. Sites are located close to modern amenities blocks plus outdoor kitchens equipped with fridges, microwaves, toasters, kettles and BBQs. Access to all resort facilities, including the pool and kanga jumper are included in the nightly campsite price.
