Velocity Frequent Flyer is turning transit into a first-class culinary experience, offering members a complimentary USD$20 Dine on Us food voucher at Hamad International Airport, Doha (DOH) when flying on Virgin Australia’s brand-new international long-haul services between Australia and Doha, launching from June 2025.

By simply adding their Velocity membership number - and any other guests’ membership number - to their booking, each Velocity member travelling on Virgin Australia’s new services will be able to redeem their USD$20 Dine on Us dining voucher at over 66 of the airport’s most sought-after restaurants and cafés across a diverse range of cuisines, ensuring there’s something for everyone in the family.

The Dine on Us restaurant lineup includes:

  • Oreo Café – for an Instagram-worthy treat.
  • Wagamama – serving up bold Asian flavours.
  • Ralph’s Coffee – a classic Ralph Lauren experience in a cup.
  • Gordon Ramsay’s Burgers – for a taste of Michelin-star quality before your flight?
  • Gordon Ramsay’s Street Pizza experience Italy before you touch down in Rome.
  • Harrod’s Tea Room – offering refined pre-flight afternoon tea.

Bookings are now open for Virgin Australia’s new services which will operate directly from Sydney, Brisbane and Perth to Doha from June 2025, and Melbourne in December 2025. These flights will be operated by Virgin Australia using Qatar Airways’ spacious Boeing 777s, renowned for their Qsuite Business Class and seamless connectivity with Starlink wi-fi.

Velocity Frequent Flyer members or Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will each receive a USD$20 food and beverage voucher (Voucher) to redeem for food or drinks (excluding alcohol) at one of over 50 food outlets at Hamad International Airport, Doha when travelling on Virgin Australia’s services between Australia and Doha (VA1-29). Each passenger travelling on these services (including children) need to add their individual Velocity or Privilege Club membership number to their booking, prior to departure of their flight to or from Australia, in order to link this Voucher to their boarding pass. Members are not able to claim this Voucher any other way.  To redeem this Voucher, the member must present their boarding pass at one of the selected food outlets at the point of transaction. Only one Voucher can be used per transaction. Vouchers cannot be combined with other members’ Vouchers. If a member’s transaction exceeds the value of the Voucher, the member must pay the remaining balance by cash or card.  Vouchers cannot be used at the following outlets: Starbucks, Joe the Juice, Lavita, W Hotel Café and Louis Vuitton Lounge.
