Departure information

Virgin Australia Self Check-in Kiosks are available at Brisbane Domestic Terminal, where guests can print their boarding pass and bag tag before proceeding to a bag drop counter.

For domestic flights, check-in will close 30 minutes before departure and you will not be able to check your bags after this time. We recommend you are checked in with bags dropped at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

Arrival Information

Baggage carousels are located in the Arrivals Hall on the Ground floor. Information monitors display flight carousel numbers for baggage collection points.

Train passes are available for all connecting Virgin Australia flights & a bus service is available for all connecting Virgin Australia International flights.

Internet is available within the departures lounge.

Assistance

Guests requiring assistance can be escorted to and from departure/arrival gates. Ask a team member for assistance.

Check-in

Virgin Australia Self Check-in Kiosks are available at Brisbane Domestic Terminal, where guests can print their boarding pass and bag tag before proceeding to a bag drop counter.

Online check-in

Check-in for your flight online via desktop, tablet or mobile devices using our online check-in portal.

For domestic flights: Online check-in for domestic travel will open 48 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure, and close 45 minutes prior.*

For international flights: Online check-in for international travel will open 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure, and close 90 minutes prior.* Please remember to have your passport and other travel documentation on-hand to complete online check-in.

Specific service requests

* Guests who have booked with specific service requests may be unable to check-in online. Upon arrival at the airport, please see Virgin Australia staff to determine if kiosk check-in can be utilised for your booking or proceed to our traditional check-in counters. Our kiosk check-in facilities are available at selected airports.

For domestic flights

At most Domestic Airports guests can opt to check in using our Self Service Check-in technology or Counter Check-in service provided by friendly Virgin Australia team members.

Guests can use our self check-in kiosks at most major airports where you can print your boarding pass and bag tag before proceeding to a bag drop.

For international flights

At our International Airports, Counter Check-in service for guests with and without bags is provided by our friendly Virgin Australia team members.

International Check-in: Check-in opens 3 hours prior to scheduled flight departure time.

Transfers and Transport

Brisbane CBD is approximately 12 kilometres from Brisbane Airport and there are plenty of convenient options to get you to and from the centre of town and beyond.

Airtrain

With the station just a short walk from the domestic terminal and a 20 minute ride into Brisbane’s CBD, Airtrain is a fast and convenient way to travel to and from the airport.

Tickets start at $10* and can be purchased online, at the station or by swiping on and off with a go card.

Taxis and rideshare

Taxi’s are located directly outside the Domestic Terminal while ride share pickup is on the central road , in between taxi pickup and passenger pickup and drop off areas - cross two pedestrian crossings.

Car hire

You’ll find all of the major car hire desks located inside the Virgin Australia terminal with car pickup and drop off located in the in the multi-level carpark accessible via the Skywalk. Pre book your rental and save.

Airport parking

Brisbane Domestic Airport parking is located only a short walk from the Virgin Australia terminal.

Hourly parking for pickup and drop offs. A 2-5 minute walk to the terminal.

Short-term or long-terms parking, suitable for trips away. A 4-8 minute walk to the terminal.

Pre-book an undercover space online to ensure a space is available when you arrive at the terminal. A 5-7 minute walk to the terminal.

AIRPARK

Budget long-term parking available 24 hours a day. A 10 minute ride to the terminal by shuttle, running every 20 minutes.
