How to use your travel credit
Log in to Travel Bank, reset your password or check your credit balance
- Visit the Travel Bank website
- Select 'forgot password' to reset your password (please note your old passwords will not be valid for this new account)
- Enter your travel bank username. This was recently sent to the email address used in the original booking.
- Follow the instructions in the reset email
- Return to the travel bank website to login to your account
- Your credit balance can be seen by viewing your account information
How to book a flight using your travel credit
To see how to book a flight online, first select your travel credit type below.

To use your credits, we recommend first checking your Travel Bank balance. You should also have your travel bank username and password handy, as this will make logging in to use your credit quick and easy.

First review the fare options available to you
Travel Credits can be used on any fare across all Virgin Australia operated flights.
To see the fares available, start your flight search on virginaustralia.com and remember to tick "I would like to use Travel Bank" on the final stage of your flight search, then enter your Travel Bank username.
Select the fare you would like to purchase
Any fare shown on the Select page is available to be booked using a travel credit.
Complete passenger details, and add flight extras as needed
Travel credits can be used to purchase Economy X and extra checked baggage as part of your online booking. You can also add these at any time before your flight by managing your booking online, or when checking-in online.
Pay using Travel Bank
Once you reach the Payment page, select Travel Bank as your form of payment. You will then be prompted to log in using your Travel Bank username and password.
Use the slider to determine how much of your credit you wish to use for this booking.
Travel credits can be used for multiple bookings, and any Travel Bank balance that remains is valid for use up until the expiry date of that specific credit, which is outlined in your Travel Bank.

Can I purchase flights or ancillaries using only part of the value of my credit?
Yes. You can pay using only a portion of your credit (using a combination of travel credit, and credit or debit card) and retain the residual amount of your credit for future bookings.

I can’t find my Travel Bank details. What do I do?
Upon creation of a travel bank, an email containing the travel bank username is sent to the email address used for the original booking.
If you are unable to locate your travel bank details, please fill in this form to retrieve your Travel Bank details or call our Guest Contact Centre on 13 67 89 for assistance.

Can my credit be used to make a booking for another person?
Yes, you can make a booking for another person using your credit. However, you cannot transfer the value of your credits adding to the value of travel credits held by another person.
