Virgin Australia Cargo moves cargo throughout the Virgin Australia domestic network. For specific port locations, lodgement times and operating hours, refer to the ‘Our Cargo Network’ section.

Same day service

Whether you are sending general cargo, urgent medical supplies or permitted dangerous goods, our highest priority service enables you to select your preferred date and flight for travel (subject to operational requirements and space availability). The maximum weight limit per piece is 60 kilograms.

Perishable transport service

If you are planning to ship fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants, seafood and fresh meats, our perishable transport service enables you to select your preferred date and flight for travel (subject to priority, operational requirements and space availability). The maximum weight limit per piece is 60 kilograms.

Pet and animal travel

Our animal transport service enables you to choose your preferred date and flight for travel (subject to priority, operational requirements and space availability). The maximum weight limit is 65 kilograms (combined weight of the animal, container and container attachments). Please refer to the Animal and Pet Transport page for more information.

Indian Ocean Territory Cargo Services

Specialised cargo services to Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands are available on Virgin Australia flights (subject to priority and space availability). Please contact Freightshop for bookings and general enquiries.

International Cargo Services

Virgin Australia does not accept bookings for international services.
